Default High oil pressure

ive noticed that after installing my turbo my car has very impressive oil pressure - cold 100+psi, warm 25psi, and high rev 100+psi. is this wayyyy to high, because its starting to cause problems, broken oil coupler, and leaks. its leaking most is at the turbo feed line. should i put a tee there and feed it back to oil pan?

Ok that was the problem. i saved my turbo from blowing a seal, but my oil pressure is still too high.
a idle its 100+psi, high reving wen cold - im too scared to do, high revving when warm and it gets about to 175psi, waayyyy in the red. the turbo feed line is not the problem, (ive bored the tip out and nothing changed). any ideas as to whats rong or should i run it with 175psi oil pressure?

Before I say anything smart ***-ish show me a picture of your oil in and out lines on your turbo.

You need braided line on that and is that a restrictor? You better have one before you blow the seals on that turbo charger.

Anywhere else besides the turbo lines it's leaking from?

Go to a hardware store and try your inlet fitting with a 1/8 npt female fitting see if that works, because I'm not sure what you have on there. Then get one of these if it is.

At the turbo or at the block where is it leaking close up of the line please (FEED)

so you think you really reach 175 psi?

Also in the first picture, the feed looks to be braided but in the up close picture it is not. Put a braided feed line on there. You dont need one on the return though.

if you are really doing 175 PSI your bearings won't be long lived.

well my gauge goes to 100psi, then about another quarter of the gauge is red, and it maxes the gauge out. so im guessing its around 175...
yes the feed is braided.

Is that a rebuilt engine? And show me a better picture of the braided line going into the fitting on the turbo .

So I don't see a need to come to the conclusion of tight clearances. Can you swap gauges with anyone? To check your gauge out, and is that a barbed fitting on the turbo feed line?

DOUBLE check the vehicle with a secondary guage/sender to make sure the guage is not the issue
ive had a similar problem with a guage causing me drama when there was nothing wrong other then the guage

after that , start checking for restrictions

is there a chance your line is leaking?

If you running a wet-floating type turbo and at-least a 36" oil line, it will not need a restrictor; I see 100+PSI cold start with no leaks.

Check your equipment; use some carb cleaner to spray off all the oil around the line when cold, then have a friend start it up so you can see exactly where it's coming from;

for the love of god don't spry it ont he turbo when it's still hot =P

i would get an oil restrictor and if you want to lower your oil pressure a little while cooling it get an oil cooler kit

If he puts a restrictor on that ebay turbo it will probably have shaftplay in notime. I see 100+PSI on my turbo'd D15b all the time, no excessive leaks or oil burning.

would high oil pressure be a reason why oil might come out of the cold side of the turbo?
