i have 2 arp stripped rod bolts, i just ordered 2 new ones from arp, but now i have no idea how to remove these.. i tried those sockets with the teeth that grip in, i made one of the bolts even worse by trying to grinde the edges hoping a smaller socket would fit but no luck........i may have to take it to a machine shop so they can weld something to it and turn.....but thats my last choice...how do i get this out so i can have my car running

 

Usually welding something on to it usually works. I would take it to the machine shop just so your not ****ing anything up.

Try chanel lock pliers just clamp it super tight

 

they are pressed in not bolted it bring it to a machine shop its cheap

 

is this a stock rod or a aftermarket rod. Also arp bolts heads are standard size i saw a guy do this using a metric socket.
