Don't run a 45 degree off of the turbo. It'll swoop down into the oil pan..

what do you mean by punch the pan..

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Don't run a 45 degree off of the turbo. It'll swoop down into the oil pan..

so just a run a straight peace down, not the 45, and then hook my 10an fitting to that.

I would just use straight and 45° 1/2" hose barbs. There is no reason to use aeronautical lines in such a low pressure application. The rubber hose would make a gentle arc towards the pan, and the I.D. is larger than -AN.

so dont use steel braided at all. just the fittings and rubber hose.

what about heat on that exposed rubber.

Get a rubber hose like this one..Ask Stan(flamenco-T) if he'll hook you up with some. It'll be fine as long as it doesn't touch anything hot..

My return sucks cuz of this very problem. . . .

I have to redo it with soft rubber hose in the future. . .

rubber hose it is then.

so it being real short wont hurt anything as long as the flow is good going into the pan.

is the place that i have my pan tapped good. I dont want to blow any seals on this new turbo.

I had the same problem Platinum an di just ditched the steel braided hose and went to Lowes and got some rubber tubing. I used the same 45 degree and just clamped it on. no leaks...no problems....just make sure it doesn't pinch anywhere

straight piece off of the turbo or the oil pan. OTHERWISE there's another option....i gotta see if i can find pics. I found the SS return line in an AVO turbo kit for my friends subaru legacy. It's an SS return with the anodized ends (like usual) but instead of the screws, the hand clamps on the end. (there were holes cut in the metal to fit the screw part of the clamp). They were ******* genious. I wish i had pics

I have been running a heavy duty 350 psi rubber hose for 4 years now with no melting or problems whatsoever. The hose sits 1'' from my downpipe.

I had the same problem with mine but I saw it before I tapped the pan so I just taped in a barb fitting and put the hose right on it so I didn;t have the adaptor on the end of the fitting taking up all that space.

I'd go with a rubber hose, its what I have been running on my setup for 2 years. Just measure the length and the appropriate bends needed and go to autozone, walk behind the counter to the wall of hoses and find one thats the right diameter with the right length/bends.

You are going to want to find high-temp, high-pressure hose... I think the stuff that Flamenco-T sells in his return line kits is just fuel line...

Any auto parts store should carry it...

well i just picked up the hose and fittings. went to a couple places and they only had high temp 10an fuel line. im assuming this will work. will it not ?

also jegs did not have a bulkhead 45 barb fitting. so i got my bulkhead straight to a 45, hopefully it will work.

i will put everything on and take some pics and post up in a couple of hours.

That is long compared to mine. You shouldn't have a problem.
