Default help me pick a trans setup, also input on Prodrive spool

Here are my options that i have. I can have either a LS trans with a quaiffe or a GSR trans with a prodrive spool. I would like to run the car on the street very occasionally so i have a few questions hopefully you guys with experience can help me out.

1. can you turn at all with a spool or does it just turn like ****

2. to anyone with 24.5 inch slicks, how much mph can you get out of the GSR trans at around 8500 rpm or what is your speed and revs when going through the traps.

Dont get the Prodrive. Im sure Viren and Art can tell you more on this.
Go with Damon's....Im assuming its his tranny your looking at.

EDIT* I installed valve springs in my LS the other weekend and was finally able to rev higher. I took it to 8000 in 4th gear (stock GSR tranny) and the speedo said 120mph----this was on my street tires with a rough diameter of 23 inches. Im sure with the 24.5" slicks and your new setup you should be able to go through the traps in 4th with your higher speed and redline.

when i used to run 24.5 inch with GSR trans and quaife traps would be around 135-140 so you can easily get it dont. With ls trans i was turning 132-135 mph traps the GSR netted faster mph and better acceleration in my opinion. The spools from prodrive work but nto really worth it.

Nope i alredy have the LS with the Quaiffe in it. Im going through the traps at 129 at around 8000. My buddy needs an LS trans and wants mine and he is willing to buy me a GSR trans and a Prodrive for it if i decide to trade. After seeing Prodrive on the products that dont work post in edgy. I plan on putting down over 500whp and the last thing i want is a busted dif. Im not sure if ill run out of gear with the GSR tranny either.

Viren, so the prodrive doesnt net anymore traction or its not gonna hold up. Or is it jsut too much for what you get out of it. Im thinking about making the car a true race car so using a spool and not being able to drive it on the street is not one of my main concerns, i jsut want to go fast. i have other cars if i need to go anywhere

I feel the spool puts more stress on the axles, also.
