Help me diagnose my engine problem please
Ok, a couple nights ago I noticed the smell of burning oil while driving. I popped the hood and I had sprayed some oil out my breather filter. So I assumed blowby which meant my ring lands were messed up. A compression test reinforced this with a reading of 110 180 190 180. Preludes seem to be vulnerable to this so I figured the ring lands were busted on piston #1. When I went out to look at the car today though, I noticed that the coolant overflow bottle was empty. What could have caused this? This is where I am confused. Also, my vacuum readings seem about 100 mm Hg lower. Thanks.

possibly a blown head gasket, maybe you melted your pistons or did other various block damage. the oil shooting out of the breather is very typical to happen to FI preludes, but not excessive amounts. last year when i had the oil problem with the valve cover it turned out to be my turbo oil seal going bad, but in your case i say you need to remove your head and take a look at your internals. also, i emailed you about the 3" exhaust, could you please respond? thanks, turbopreludesi@aol.com
