Help me convert to the Darkside
Ok guys, here are the parameters, I have searched, and feel this needs to be addressed.
1: Budget: $3000 This includes everything I need for turbo, Hondata S200B, and guages, etc, I can stand to save a few more hundred for install while waiting for all the stuff to ship.
2: Drivability: I will never be looking to boost above 10psi, or hit more that 300HP, the car is a street machine, but not really a daily driver
There are several kits, Greddy, Drag, FMAX, etc, and there is the custom route.
Based on the criteria, I need to know what will be the path of least resistance. Tuning is gonna be my only issue, as it is just a matter of locating somewhere to dyno/tune the car.
I hear that the Greddy kit allows for a more "bolt on" style kit, and that it, an intercooler, and some hondata can do wonders.
I have also considered the route of the custom kit. It is just a matter of getting all the parts. Let me know guys.

Spend another 3 weeks doing nothing but reading the FI forum. Then piece a kit together. The Greddy kit lacks a few key parts in a turbo kit and the others will put you over your budget before tuning or exhaust. Your best bet is the Drag kit from http://www.importparts.com it is as complete as a kit comes. Is it still $3199 Ben?
It's gonna be alot longer than 3 weeks of reading, I am home this weekend from college, but I didn't get to drive my teg (Damn Snow) Anyway, next time I am home will prob be mid feb or spring break in early march, then I will assess what I want to do. So do you recommend piecing a kit together, or the Drag kit? As I find different components, I can probably piece the whole kit together for less than 3 grand. Although $3199 is a good price, but I still want Hondata. Thanks RedTegLs
Just so you know that price used to include a FREE Hondata! Contact ben and see if it still does. ben@importparts.com

Okay here we go
3) for $650 you could find you a nice precision turbo, I rmemeber Camp1320 selling the sc34 for $630
4) as far a sthe swift stuff,I believe that was the stuff Johnisenglish was selling, I think it was just temporary thign while he was out of school, but nonetheless alot of people had fitment issues, and last I heard poeple were still waiting on refunds
6) Pm Flamenco-T he is the fittings guy, His oil line i belive is $130 complete(stainless) just search under his name
8) Hondata should only run you $425
9) Vacuum manifold the Golden Eagle on is like $45, and then you have to buy you own brass barbed fittings(cheap)
10) I fyour not looking into an extreme setup a manual boost controller should work fine for under $100
And lastly dont get a greddyk it, any custom kit or Drag/Revhard kit is also Bolt on, dont let advertismenents mislead you. For your goals I would go custom, or buy a prefabbed kit that includes hondata like Bens special. Since your on a budget the last thing you need is to spend $ on stuff you don't need.

Yea guys, the more research I do, the better deals I am finding, and they are on better parts. I PM'ed Arturbo about the manifold/presicion combo, and talked to turbotegb18c about hondata. Before I even start on turbo though, I am gonna get me some springs so I can lower my car on 17 inch adr Skye-7's and get me a new headunit and a component system for the front speakers. From there it is alarm and window tinting, the nsa ving for turbo. Oh and price wise, I forgot about a 3 inch catback, thinking thermal R&D, and a clutch. Thanks guys.
