Help WIth 3 Bar Map Sensor!?!?
 
ok now i purchased one and i read hondata on how to install it but whn they said i have to use a rom editor to change the sensor type, is there anyway around it? or what? let me know, if not i dont got one of those things give me some insight???

Are you running a Hondata ECU? This is prob obvious, but you didnt mention. If so, maybe there is someone in your area with the ROM editor, if not contact Hondata, maybe you could overnite your ecu to them or a vendor for the upgrade....

any type of management hondata aem uber ect needs to have the map rescaled for the new sensor.

Does the chip need to be re-tuned when you swap sensors?

some ecus interpolate the cells in the map when you rescale for the map sensor but in short it will not run the exacxt same because now you resolution of your map has decreased,
ie where you had 29 in hg ---&gt; 11psi in say 16 cells now you have 29in hg ---&gt;29 psi in the same 16 cells now the increments are broader from cell to cell.
