Greddy kit or Homemade???????
ok, here is my delema. I'm getting rdy to turbo my z6 and I just want some opinions on which way I should go. Option #1 Buy the greddy turbo kit for 92-95 civic ex/si then buy a FMIC, and Type s BOV for roughly 1900 and have new parts and a semi respectiable kit, or go homemade- t3 turbo, some kind of manifold with DSM injectors, vafc and custom downpipe and the greddy type s bov.
I am steering towards the greddy kit becuase it is new parts etc. but hte only thing I dont like about it is that the turbo is internaly wastegated. I have heard ppl say a turbo with an internal wastegate isnt as great as one with an external wastegate, but the cost is cheaper which is what i'm looking for.

I got a used greddy SOHC kit w/tapped pan, sidemount intercooler, greddy blue box and greddy type-S BOV for 900 bucks used. Shop around, and get a used greddy kit.
i have been using the greddy kit for about a year on my y8. runs fine and as far as the wastegate goes, i have no probs whatsoever. it all depends how much boost ur gonna run with your set-up. if your going for big boost, get an external.
nope just around 7psi for now, I bought another z6 that i'm gonna build then get a t3/t4 something like that then i'll run higher boost but for now I'm just gonna boost my daily driver.
for right now just like 200whp not much I dont live close to a track and street racing is just retarted so its basically just gonna be experience for my next project and for when I go to the track which is like 3 hours from here
