TD05 or TD04? I can see no reason why anybody would bother running a TD04 @ 15psi. The astronomical amount of heat you'd gain would negate much of any power gain by trying to force to small a turbo to breath that much air. The TD05 on the other hand is a larger compressor with a larger wheel (18G) so I don't know how it does up the upper boost areas..

its the TD05-18G. greddy claims that the turbo makes its best power at around 15 psi. i've heard that mitsu guys run the smaller 16G at 20+ psi. i understand that mitsu motors are built for it, flow differently, etc. but i don't see why i couldn't try running higher boost with the right engine fortification and fuel upgrades, etc...

Depends on which Greddy kit. The Civic Greddy kit is a Mitsubishi TD04H-15G, and the TD05-18G for the Teg kit. And it's true, the Eclipses run smaller turbos than either above mentioned turbos at boost levels in the mid to upper-teens w/out any problem. Provided you have an adequately sized intercooler, there shouldn't be any reason you can't run 15psi, or even 20psi for that matter. You will, however, want to go with a standalone/programmable ECU to handle 15psi though. As mentioned before, you'll need to replace the Honda MAP sensor above 12psi.

i have a friend that pulled 15psi making 300hp on a JG d16z6 motor with a greddy td04 turbo. He had some problems with boost spikes because the greddy turbo has a small wastegate, but it did hold the boost.

so yes..its possible with a good fuel system. It will be fun too...instance spool With a good boost controller (fuzzy logic and all) it can control boost spikes to a point.

so the TD05 on a B18C should be real nice then? over 300 hp? i'm having my motor built...a bunch of headwork done too. i was thinking along the lines of: smaller turbo has to run more boost but spools quickly w/ more useable power as logn as the intake charge doesn't get too hot. and i have the HKS EVC IV boost controller. its got thre fuzzy logic etc...

That's sick! Oh BTW Liam, I got a quote already from SFP to build the Civic next year. 15psi...that's just the begining
