Good tuner needed in Central OH
Does anybody know of a good tuner for turbo honda accord in or around central ohio? I'm NOT taking it to Passen Motorsports. It seams dyno's are few and far between here with good tuners being even harder to find.
drive down to Cinci. It will be worth it, I promise. Street or dyno, your call. $75/hr street, $125/hr dyno. Uberdata, Crome, Hondata, AEM
I hate PMs. If you want to get ahold of me, try email.

I have E-manage and a wide band installed in the car. I know of a few places down there. I have a buddy that lives down there. Do they know how to tune with that or would they let me run and tune my owen car. I just need access to a dyno other then Passen.

I might add Raceline doesn't charge a setup fee, and if you bring your own wideband (or have me tuning the car on their dyno with my wideband) you pay no wideband fee. Best value for money in Southern Ohio based on price alone - the fact that it is a loading dyno is just a big plus.
What do you mean by loading dyno? I do have a wide band installed, AEM uego. Its mounted in the A-piller with the rest of my gauges. How much do they charge if I'm supplying the wide band?
Loading means they can simulate a real situation. Like the car is really driving on a street. Not completely sure but I think these are helpful with part-throttle tuning. Someone else elaborate please.
Our Mustang Dyno is a eddy current type. It applies a load per the weight and HP @ 50 mph of that particular vehicle. This loads the engine to simulate "real world" driving conditions. The only true way to tune a car on a dyno. And may I add that it is VERY consistant. For any other Q's about eddy current type dynos, check out http://www.MUSTANGDYNE.com
$125/hr for me to tune on Raceline's dyno inclusive of my fees, dyno and wideband fees. I'm an "independent contractor" but I use their dyno exclusively for tuning with my own gear.
I believe Rick charges $90/hr for dyno, $68.50/hr for tuning and a flat $40 wideband fee, but I'm sure he will correct me if I'm wrong about that. I at least know my Dyno/Tuning fees are within 5% of actual figures.
I do mainly Uber/Crome/TurboEdit. I can also do Hondata, but due to my experience and background, I end up doing a lot more with the DIY stuff. I honestly don't think you could find too many ppl to better do UD/Crome/TE stuff, but I am pretty biased.
I've played with an AEM, but I'd really feel more comfortable letting someone else do your car if you're using an AEM.
Rick has AEM training and a lot more experience on the dyno (seeing as he owns it) than I do. He's also pretty good with Greddy E-Manage, which I have no real experience with. Their shop car is putting down 114mph trap speeds on Uberdata, and they just got 300whp out of a Drag kit on 11.5psi. He's a damn good tuner and you wouldn't go wrong at all to have him tune your car.

He's getting his car tuned there soon.
