If any of your have decided that you need additional vacuum sources for things like boost controller, boost gauge, map sensor, waste gate, etc, then you know that it is a pain to do. Either you have to drill and tap your intake manifold ( this means removal of the manifold, performing the work, cleaning it out, then re-installing the intake manifold! Who wants to do that? ) or you have to use your existing vacuum hoses and TEE them off causing ugly spaghetti mess and sometimes an insufficient vacuum source.

Golden Eagle Mfg. has this problem licked with out Vacuum Manifold. This unit allows up to 6 additional vacuum supplies to be used without the headache. Simply figure out how many sources are needed, drill out the amount of ports needed ( very easy with a small drill and drill bit! ), clean, mount onto your firewall, connect the vacuum lines as needed, connect the Vacuum Manifold to your intake manifold with the supplied fittings, and your done. The best part is if you ever want to add, it is just as easy. Lets say you don't need that many later on, then simply use a pipe plug found at any local hardware store for a few cents. Comes with detailed instructions and all fitting to connect the Vacuum Manifold except the fitting for the intake.

You can use an existing fitting and just run the hose to the Vacuum manifold.

It depends on what you have. We can either supply you with a fitting for a a 3/8" ID or 1/2" ID hose!

 

Will the vacuum signal be strong enough? Doesnt T-ing a single source decrease the amount of vacuum each item sees that is connected to it? I have to have a dedicated vacuum for my Tial BOV right now b/c when I try to hook it up to a T, I get ALOT of flutter. What do you think?

 

i am confused..
wheres the drilling..(intake manifold for ex).. so if you need 3 ports..you drill 3..but wouldnt you be doing this anyways?

See, that is the thing. Now, a LARGER vacuum hose can be used to power the Vacuum Manifold. I will have a drawing in the morning. This manifold can help stop your flutter!

so you are using a LARGER vacuum source but still teeing off it,up to six times..doesn't that reduce the effiency of the vacuum soure anyways?
also i would like to see a pic of it mounted on a car.

 

ok so you connect a 1/2" hose to the Vacuum Manifold, and then you can tap the vacuum sources. But where do you tap the IM for the 1/2" hose?

With the larger supply to the Vacuum Manifold, the supply of Vacuum is almost limitless. And yes, if you need 4 vacuum sources, then you will have to drill anyway. but with the Vacuum Manifold, you won't have to remove the intake manifold. It is just a much simpler way to get some more vacuum sources. I will have a drawing up tomorrow and a pic of it installed.

Usually there is a pretty good size hose somewhere on the IM stock. All you do is route that to the Vacuum Manifold.

Nice! I was actually in the process of making one myself. Just a small vacuum box w/ a main line tapped into the intake manifold and barbed vacuum fittings for each source.

if i remember correctly, Chrysler tried something like this one time..... only problem is, the farthest port from the main vacuum signal had weak vacuum

 

so u have to tap it for what ever sources you wanna use it for np there
but if you wanna use a larger vac line to it lets say half inch and your im does not have that size fiitting would you have to tap the im for that fitting ? or do you guys have and adapter for the im you can sell? thx

also so basically you can take off the strongest vac line off the IM and run it to the mini manfold (like that name huh lol) and then run off the fiiting that you disconnected as the input for the mini manifold?

No matter what that's always going to be a problem especially if you have that many vacuum lines to run. No matter how big the diameter of the tubing or attachment hose it's going to lose vacuum at the end. You could make it differently to get rid of that problem, but I don't think you'd want to do it that way. Oh well I guess it doesn't matter as long as you say it works.

This is exactly what i am concerned about. I am really interested in this product, but where can we tap a vacuum source big enought to support up to 6 vacuum sources, without comprimising failure.
