G23 boosted?
hey im lookin to build a g23 motor (f23 w/ h22 head), ive been looking into it for a little bit now and somewhere i read it would be a good turbo application because of the low compression (with k20 pistons i think...) somewhere around 8.2:1 however in talking to some friends ive been told it might not be because of other reasons like thin cylinder walls and so forth. anybody have any experience with this motor, or even just a turbo f23? what psi could safely be run without having to do a complete build up of the motor? is it even worth it? please post any reasons why it would not be a good idea so i dont waste my time and $ if its going to be a bad project

f23 bottom ends can take some abuse...just tune it conservatively.
i'm running about 12-13 psi into one right now, with a t3/t4, and it should be making about 370-400 whp, judging by trap speed (125-126, with a 2500 lbs car w/ driver)
f22a1 head...with a bisimoto cam. every bit as lovely as an h22 head, without all the expensiveness
