I have purchased brand new thermostats that are faulty. Have you tried a new one? I know this is not much, but it has worked for me
. I have also hear of people drilling a hole in the thermostat to let coolant flow continuously. I don't know if that is good, but I do know of some people who have done it.

KISS before going and drilling a hole in your thermo...typically when the thermo malfunctions it results in running cold, not hot.
First things first....have a solid 50/50 or 60/40 water/coolant mix? Using the right green coolant? You SURE the fan is coming on? Check the fuses, relay and wiring.

i think i fixed it u guys. I looked on the oem fan and i remembered that
when i connected the slim fan i have that i cut the harness and directly
connected the wires to the fan. so i grab my oem fan and i see that there
was a small *** relay(i think its a relay) on the fan. so i took it off the oem
fan then connected all the wires back to like it was oem and i put my fan on the back like oem and then i bleeded the system again some bubbles came out
but it wasnt much. took it for a spin and pushed it a bit hard and now my car
doesnt overheat the needle on the gauge doesnt move at all stays a bit
under half which is good. i am going to drive around this week like this if
it doesnt overheat on a hot day i think that was my problem. i have to figure
out a way how to mount my slimfan on the back . anyone have any clues how i can mount it better ?

Man, u probably fwaked up the wiring when u put the fan in. did u install the fan when u put the rad. in???
i know i wired my fan in wrong and it overheated when i drove, but when i stop it cooled back down to normal. weird...but tru
You need that lil relay...but the wires after the harness. the FAN runs either way you hook the wires up!!! REASON BEING B/C IT IS A PUSH/PULL FAN. Your fan is probably wired as a push fan, when u really need it to be a pull fan. read the instructions...wish i did
test the fan by running it stright to the battery and see what is positive and what is negative. remember OEM wiring for the fans is:
Blue=Positive
Black=Negative
Good luck and keep us updated

did you try to rewire the fan? if the fan is running the wrong way, it will cool the car...but when u run it hard the car instantly gets hot.
maybe when you hit 80mph the way the fan is pushing the air in the wrong direction and stops the colling b/c of the air force hitting it. since you have an upgraded rad. that cools the car better then stock and thats why you dont see it heat up till u hit over 80.

If your in Arizona that little fan would not work.. I tried one just like it. But pretty sure other states are not as hot as AZ. The FAL fan works Extremely with the shroud because it maximizes the whole radiator 100% cooling at 1200cfm which is like a wind tunnel under the hood.
