I want to know how well it works, someone buy it and test it.

ok not to be a dick, these are the scientific reasons i am bashing it

1) the design is allt he bad traits of a log manifold, and all the bad traits of an equal length. The logs use all heat energy, equal lengths loose heat energy (arguably small amt) while utilizing laminar flows and pulse flows. This manifold loses heat energy and cant utilize pulse or laminar flows.

2) The welds are miserable

3) There is no place for a laminar flow, particularly with a runner that short

4) its very interesting from a mfgs. point of view, as that thing is EASY to make a ton of. i would really like to see some math here, however

LOL, honda-tech guys ******* crack me up...

Guys, atleast give the thing a chance, who knows it might work and it might not. I've talked to this guy several times, and he's pretty cool. He's just trying these out to see if anyone is really interested in them.

These are some early pics of this manifold when he first started, he asked me to host them and give him some input. I think they look pretty good, but his price was a bit out of this world if I remember correctly.

Leen now has his own website that is up and running..

a stainless steel manifold doesnt conduct heat that well at all....stainless has a lower thermal conductivity than say mild steel. stainless is considered more of an insulator than a conductor, meaning it will keep the heat or energy inside the manifold so that the turbine can use it....something u want.

besides that, u have to consider the surface area of both pieces in order to figure out which one "puts off" or radiates more heat.

also, i dont think they would make em out of stainless, because stainless can be a PITA to machine. for the same above reason, a machined stainless part will usually require a tougher/harder tool or a slower cut since the edges and or tool will have a higher temp than if it were cutting mild steel.

Abaz,

Do you have any pic's after it has been thru a few hundred/thousand heat cycles? I would like to see them......... serious technical inquiry.

I think that grill manifold is a good solution to have an engine bay that looks like stock to an policeman, which is a good point, cause I can get big troubles when I have to open my hood and the police see my engine bay.....well, I gues I have to paint my chrom IC piping as well

i would think a cast iron would really look stock to a cop. particualrly with a heat shield on it, dsm or otherwise.

also, just curious about the internal pics. thanks

does he have pricing for this thing? there is quite a lot of machinework involved it seems.

ya, I ran into this guy at my local track and we got to talking about his manifold design. I'm not a big fan of it myself. He told me that he would make me head flanges but he flaked on me when I called him up for an order....
