exhaust goes where?
all that exhaust gas that passes thru the manifold, turbo, intercooler, engine goes to where? i always wondered since there is no header on a FI car...where is the exhaust (muffler pipes) connected to?
hmm.. Ehaust goes from engine --> Turbo manifold -->Turbo-->downpipe-->exhuast-->into the air we breathe. It doesnt go into the intercooler either, thats for the air that the compressor side sux in, it goes thru the charge pipes to the IC, and gets cooled, then into the throttle body and motor..
If you wanna understand it better, go to the link in my sig and click on all about turbos...

i don't think u understand my question. im not asking the order in which the gases travel in wat path...im saying how the exhaust in a NA vehicle comes from the engine..into the header and down thru the catback exhaust which is connected to the header etc..im asking where the exhaust is connected to on a FI vehicle....since i kno the manifold has a flange for the turbo...but wat about the exhaust?? (cat back)
a turbo has 2 outlets and 2 inputs...the header connects to one of the inputs...and another is one that sucks in air into the turbo...now the turbo has two outlets left one connected to the intercooler that sends air into the engine and another that sends EXHAUST GAS into a thing called a downpipe...which connects to a catback...now if you dont understand that then you shouldnt be even driving.

read my post.. it tells u where it goes, i was also including the order in which it goes to help u understand. It is explained perfectly in my post
You have a compressor and a turbine on a turbo. The exhuast escapes past the exhaust valves to the manifold. Then it goes trough the turbine housing to the downpipe then out the exhaust.
The compresser is driven by the turbine, but the exhaust gasses to not go into the compressor.
