EGT probe in manifold? bad spot????

EGT probe in manifold? bad spot????

"i heard" that the egt probe can eventually wear and fall off right into the turbine? is this true or not, or should i just stick it in the dp?

I guess it could happen, but I bet it's rare. Your downpipe position egt reading will not be as accurate as the egt reading from the manifold.
