How much power are you guys making on these??? i see they're only rated to 100 hp each???? i have them in a B16 and make 435, and am little tentative on turning the boost up because of this rating
people have made over 400 on factory rods. eagles are stronger.
i'd say the rating is a little on the low/safe/liability side.
people have made over 600 on eagles. who knows how strong they are? probably nobody. i dont think anyone has ever had consistent failures at a certain power level.

Actually eagle rates them to 900hp. Idk the highest number made on eagles but i know i make 440whp on them and know of many setups making 500+whp on them for years.

If you have the newer large bolt Eagles, they should be ok for your power.</TD></TR></TABLE>
That's not a very funny joke. Why would they do that?

they will be fine on higher boost.
kinda off topic but....was wondering if you should also upgrade to ARP rod bolts instead of the bolts that come with the eagle rods? rebuilding a motor and was just wondering

whats the diffrence between the old ones and the new ones, eagle rods, is the price the same. and how much are they? I want them for my D16Z6.
eagles are strong...REALLY strong. I'd put them against Manly, Pauter, whatever....given they are running the same rod bolts.
hell...look at Roger McDaniels eagles after injesting a fuckton of water......they bent, but NEVER BROKE, even to the point of digging huge gouges out of his dart block sleeves.
eagles are great rods...just some ppl have this stigma about them beign weak because a few ppl had issues (which i'd put money on were installer error)

I have to give credit to Eagle rods for making excellent rods at a super affordable price, Crower rods should be ashame, that you guys were there from the begining and you damm rods still cost an arm and a leg. Eagle thanks for wanted to be part of sportcompact Scene and not trying to ?uck us in the process. Ok now that I made up my mind on the rods I need Piston, Hmmmmmmmmm, I wonder if anybody here can point me in the right direction, Any links anyone.

I have put both JE and CP pistons through Hell with no failures. I have seen everything fail though. JE, CP, Ross, Eagle, Pauter, etc.

make sure you have good rod bolts- most of the time rod failure will be because of a bad rod bolt- ARP is the ****- i am running Eagle H beams- on your piston note- there are two kinds of forged pistons low and high silicone. figure out what you are getting -as long as you machine your cylinders accordingly you should be OK- stock cast pistons run real tight tollences like .001-002 piston to wall clearance. high silicone pistons expand less so they usually run .002-.003, low silicone are stronger but expand more so you need to leave more clearance they run .003-.007 I think JE are low silicone - for boost i believe they recommend the piston dome to be at least .200 think to handle boost and heat- and the first compression ring should be at least .250 down from crown- so you are not buring **** up. block guards help strengthen sleeves but you should install this before you get your cylinders bored and honed- and tig weld into place to be extra safe.
- i am a machinist so i am around this **** everyday.

CP was not even started until 2001. They have the newest forging designs out there. They use laser measuring tools that no other piston company even has. Their manufacturing area floor is clean enough to eat off of.
Why would you say something that you have no clue about??

well, i'm looking at bumping it up to 500-550. dial out some valve overlap and turn up the boost and dyno during all of it, do you think stock sleeves and Eagles will hold up?? i believe i have the newer rods. running Mahle 9.4:1 pistons
