Drag 3 SUCKS!

Well, it looks like I got the wrong upper IC pipe, and possibly another pipe is wrong as well. The small pre-IC piping went OK(I had to hack it), but now, no matter what I try, the upper IC pipe will not line up, and the lower IC pipe seems to be wrong as well!!

I know the drag 3 IC piping fitment is not good, but mine is straight up impossible to use. I am thinking it is from a GSR kit or something.
This is how the Upper pipe lines up.

The only way it will line up is if the hole where the stock airbox was is moved about 6 inches to the right.
Here is the upper pipe reversed. Is it reversed???
Lower pipe....how is that for fitment.

Looks like you're trying to run it thru the hole where a CAI would go. Try trimming a hole in your splash guard, and running it thru there. That would move it 6 inches or so over to the right. That's how mine is run, but I have a DRAG I.

maybe you jumped to cut one piece too quick... it took me a week to figure out my piping (cuz it was modified for a crx.) fyi, the piping on my civic goes thru the circular hole in the engine bay (not sure if thats where a CAI goes cuz i never had one) and my splash guard did have to be trimmed for my greddy kit.
your running them wrong...the upper pipe goes right to the left of the distributer and then down. Then the lower pipe connect to that, then goes through the fenderwell guard to the intercooler. I hope you didn't **** up any pipes by cutting them. good luck
Yeah I think you have it reversed. Turn that pipe around so the other side is running into the intake manifold. Then it should be atleast somewhat closer.....
Yah, it looks like ur pipe with the bov, is the wrong way. The end with the smaller diameter should be where the fender is and the bigger diameter should be where the throttle body is. My friend just got the drag kit for his civic and this is how it fits. We tried it the other way and it looked exactly like ur picture. U should flip the pipe.
Levi, the top should should be routed next to the hole for the inatke box not through it. The top pipe connects to the U bend through the splash guard and round the radiator support to the intercooler. It's hard to see which top pipe you received but it does look like the correct one. If it's not the right top pipe, we'll send you another.

Levi, attach the lower IC pipe to the IC so that the part with the black *boot* is right under where the coolant overflow tank is. Then attach the upper IC pipe so that the tapered end goes into the *boot* and I am sure it will fit fine. Let us know how it goes dude.
another thing, in the 2nd pic you posted i see the black 90 degree boot, that actually connects to the compressor side of your turbo. maybe someone stated this prior to me, anyways just wanted to share that info. all IC connections should be blue except the one that goes to the turbo and the throttle body, good luck let us know how you like boost
Thanks for all the help, I
Honda-tech.
Well, I got it figured out.
I was routing the pipes thru the wrong place.
Oh, is the BOV hooked up right?
I have the wastegate plumbed off the turbo cuz I don't have a plug right now.
Fits pretty good. The right side needs work.
I haven't got it running yet. I was just priming my oil feed line per the instructions, and there is oil leaking out of my rigged up T system.
That will be fixed tommorow and hopefully I will be boostin in under 12 hours!

hey this thread got me thinking so i was looking at my piping kit and i put it all together, everythng looks cool but theres this black coupler that has a 45 degree bend to it, cant figure out what its for? did you get one in your kit? im thinking it might be an extra thrown in by accident....

Is there a way to purchase just the piping first, and then the rest of the kit ? I feel like messing around and seeing where everything goes (hands on experience) lol.
