Do I need to convert from a 3 to a 2 wire IACV?
Throwing a code 14.
Car revs and sticks aroudn 1500 but runs fine at higher rpms. Been reading about IACV conversions. The car is a 97 (OBD2a) Integra on 8.8 psi. Do I need to convert the IACV plug to 2 wires since I recently installed a OBD1 p06 so that I could tune it, with a conversion harness? Modified by beseman at 6:42 PM 8/22/2006 |

no.
IACV issues 3 wire to 2 wire are only issues with SOHC DX 96-00 and some accords. ANY B series runs with 2wire already! your idle issues are not idle control conversion oriented! i suggest u run a throttle body with no FITV on it tho, if those even have it. btw is ur integra manual or automatic? |
Re: Do I need to convert from a 3 to a 2 wire IACV? (nickromeo)
deffinately manual'
my tuner said that he thought it might be that the dsm 450s didnt have a resistor box, so he couldnt control the injectors at low rpms bc of voltage reasons, could this be it? |
Re: Do I need to convert from a 3 to a 2 wire IACV? (beseman)
measure the resistnace of ur stock injectors if they are high, then u need to run a resistor box.
dsms are low impedance. im pretty sure 96+ anything honda is high impedance, so yah u should toss a resistor box on there, im not sure tho but its definately archived somewhre on ht. goodluck |
Don't know if you fixed this problem...but this car was my friend dave's and he did wire in in-line resistors....it doesnt need both a resistor box and in-line resistors.
