Difference in I rods and H rods?

I bought H rods, but I was sent I rods. are I rods better?

what is the difference between the two? Will I have to notch my block with I rods? How can I physically see the difference in the rods?

A little more info.B,H,or D? Rod manufacturer?Other than that a H beam is usually a little stonger for the same weight.A guide line not a rule.

You may need to notch the block.Do a trial assembly and be sure.The cheap rods are about the same in H or I beam.
