difference between gsr and type r pistons

Default difference between gsr and type r pistons

i have a type-r that i am getting sleeved and want to run 84.5 pistons. the only size that je makes is 81.5 but they offer 84.5 gsr pistons. whats the difference?

The difference from the type r and gsr is just the compression ratio. Other then that all b series is 81mm if I remember correctly. The only one that 85mm bore is the b20. I'm pretty sure all piston manufacture will sell you what ever size you want.

You can get custom pistons in almost any shape & form. You could even get Hello Kitty enscribed on them if you wanted to...

The difference is nothing (same brand of piston), since they are "generic", except for the dish/dome size, diameter, and compression height.
