Default DC2 Suspension experts

I have extremely limited experience with cars with modified suspension. I've never bought any coilovers, springs, or shocks before and I've only been in about 10 lowered cars in my life, the best of which was a 98 GS-R with Ground Control coilovers and stock shocks.

My question is .... is a suspension set up with Ground Control coilovers and Tokico Illuminas a great set up for a 98 GS-R? The most important thing to me is to have a suspension that will help me at the track once I can afford axles. Some guys at my local shop said that a lot of people who get Ground Control/Koni Yellow set ups never use that to it's potential and with the now higher prices, it's too expensive for me. What would be the best quality and cheapest (I know it's hard to go together; I just don't want to pay for a name) suspension set up that would be great for the track with a built/turbo DC2? I also know that I should upgrade my motor mounts and all the bushings that I can too, but what is a great set up?

Thanks

AGX adjustables and GC, Also bilsteins with GC with custom rate depending on what you will do. If you want to make it simple get theomni full coilovers. Good Stuff

go with ksports. Relatively cheap, especially for what they are. PM bodykitsnw on here, his name is Andy. You can adjust the hardness and softness, and also raise or lower your car to YOUR liking.

I am using GC with older Koni Yellows, Skunk2 Adjustable Control Arms, Front & Rear Tower Bars on my boosted car and it works pretty good, I do not have any experience with other shocks so I cant help you there.

Also running solid torque mounts and a solid rear engine mount w/ quaife LSD

I haven't heard of ksports. I just really need a "drag worthy" setup to avoid wheelhop and any other "bad stuff". Is it really necessary to have modified LCAs? I heard this was only for show. Should I really get polyurethane bushings and motor mounts? My car dynoed 361 hp at CHurch's Automotive at 11 psi on 91 octane. I have LSD already.

you can definitely get a setup for drop with the ksports. PM BodykitsNW, he is very knowledgeable and will have the perfect set up for you. I would also definitely recommend getting at least motor mount inserts. Getting new motor mounts may be a tad excessive for the power you are making.
