Yes Y8 pistons will work brings your comp to ~8.61:1

If you keep the b7 pistons in you would get ~10.77:1

Are you building for a little boost?

If not keep the b7 pistons save the money for tuning

Oh thanks man major help! lol
But yes I'm gonna do the "mini" swap gonna use the y8 head and replace all the values and springs with s2 racing and already have the s2 racing d16y8 cam and camshaft. With a d15b7 block and going to put 4 new Nippon Racing turbo piston's,SCAT honda civic d15 forged H-Beam Rods with ARP Rod Bolts King Silicon Coated Connecting Rod Bearings, NPR Gas Nitrite N-51 Coated Racing Piston Rings, High Strength case Hardened 9310 Steel Wrist Pins, 8 Sprial Lock Wrist Pin Clips. Then gonna use a d16y8 tranny and gonna take it to get lsd differential and possibly rebuild it(If the price is right) and tow it to get tune and dyno

I agree, use a piston for the b7, high compression is the new 9:1... especially with today's advances in EMS' abilities, fuels, piston design, turbocharger improvements, etc.

I don't really understand the point in using a stock replacement cast piston with an upgraded connecting rod....

However yes this setup will run. You need to degree the cam before cranking her over. The d15 and d16 deck heights are a little different which causes the timing to be off a few degrees. A bigger cam will take more notice of this..

Been super busy lately but the set up I have now is a d16y8 all stock just have upgraded fuel pump and injectors and tuned with a stock evo turbo snail. Was gonna use the same turbo but after doing something I'm gonna replace the crankcase but I've been searching and still can't find any performance crankcase or should I just use the crankcase off of a JDM d15 but not so sure. Any help?
