d series or b series build
alright i have 2 d16z6 one is blown up but has a ported head and everything else is good on it.But i have a type -r ported and polished head"really nice"and it is complete with gsr cams but i have skunk 2 stage 3s for it and i have b16 trans and clutch and fly wheel and ls crank....do you think it would be better to get a gsr block and build the b series beins i would be putting rods and pistons in it anyway?also my turbo is a lil big for a d series its a garret 60 trim
built Ds are rather cheap and a ton of fun, but i love my B series. Since you have most of the parts for a B, you may as well use that if you have the money to finish it. Either way, it should be fun....i just rode in my buddy Brandon's built d series EJ1 last night and that changed my mind a little bit about D's....they arent as bad as some people think
ask yourself how much do you want to produce and are willing to spend. the d would be a cheaper route but the b has more potential. either way you can't go wrong, but again most people would go with a b.

not a half bad idea

D series.
Cheaper, easier and will make enough power from street use. And if you have a non B series car you save yourself some money buy not buying mounts and all the other stuff needed.
But I'm a D nut.
