Default could this be the problem?

For those of you that remember (and those that didn't) I was having a problem with my boost cutting off just before vtec and I couldn't figure out what the hell it was. Even on the tyno sheet, the power would just drop off at around 5000.
Anyway, I was just surfing and I cam across the IAB. I remember reading a lot about this but I completely over looked this. If they were shut the entire time, could this prevent the upper rpm power that I am not getting? The vaccum line is good however and the diaphroam is working. I disconncected the vaccum line while the engine was running and the rod moves everytime I connected it and disconnect it, but I would also like to know if anyone thinks that the electric signal could have been comprimised somehow and it's simply not getting a signal.

IAB on a stock ecu opens more about 7200 RPM if I recall, so it doesn't really seem to be the answer to your symptoms. On your dyno sheet, at 7200 rpm, do you see more oxygen all of a sudden?

I've been reading the archives and it's been mostly saying that they open early like at 4700 and most people disconnect them and leave them open to get more power at the expense of a little bit of loss in low end torque.

I would disconnect them, or remove them entirely. I *may* have an h22 manifold coming out that wont even encorporate these things.
My h22 vaccum box was destroyed during shipment, so I just yanked everything. All good, i cant notice a difference(still pops the tires loose at low speeds, and Im still NA)...TQ rocks!
