Compression test done

I had some headstuds put in yesterday for my upcoming turbo setup so I figure I should do a comp test. On a warm motor at wot here are the results:

193 181 188 190

Does it matter if I didn't take out all of the spark plugs? I took one out and tested that cylinder then put it back in and so on.

This is on a stock y7 block with a stock y8 head.

not bad, but i think they are suppose to be within 15% of eachother. I that same motor last fall, after boosting 15 psi, i was like 220 in each cylinder, so i don't know.

U have to take out all the plugs and unplug the distributor and test it on a cold motor.

Cold? All the threads I have read have said to test it while it's warm.

warm engine, and you don't have to take out all the plugs at once, your only testing the one cylinder.

Maybe I'm a little confused here not knowing if that 15% is from the lower, the higher or the average of the numbers, but.....

(.15)*181 = 27.15, 181 +/-27.15
or
(.15)*193 = 28.95, 193 +/-28.95
or
(.15)*188 (ave) = 28.2, 188 +/-28.2

So it seems whether you take the higher, the lower number or even average them he is well within 15%. Right? Just curious. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

15% from each other. Basically the numbers should not be more then like 20-25 psi from each other.
