Competition pressure plate question
wasn't sure where to post, figured this was the place where this clutch was used most so...
I recently ordered a competition clutch, 8026-1620-x , with the "xtreme" pressure plate for more clamping force. I've read it has a double diaphragm. but when I got it and opened it, the pressure plate looks identical to my old pp which was the standard pp.
my question is, is there any visual difference between the xtreme and standard pressure plates? if so does anyone have a picture, I've searched and searched and can't find a picture if the xtreme pp. I'm sure I would be able to feel it in the pedal I would just like to be sure I got the right part before I install it. Thanks in advance.
Ps: sticker on the pp had 3-694 with an X written in pencil above. the X in pencil and not being able to see a difference just shot up a red flag for me...

.... as I said, I searched and those pictures do not really help because they are not very detailed of the pressure plate, still in package and hard to see....
Give CC a call you paid for their product get the service that goes along with it. They seemed nice enough when my pressure plates aliment tabs busted and it spun. They got a new out to me pretty quick.
The different between single and double diaphragm pp is in the springs or fingers. "Double diaphragm" means you will see one set of springs (fingers) lays on top of another. Got it? Below is pic of double diaphragm pp (courtesy of "MotoIQ.com":
yes, that's what I thought, the pressure plate I received is just single fingers, I will call competition and see what they have to say. thank you.
