Default Cleaning Out An Intercooler

My intercooler has oil sitting in the bottom of it due to the *** hat that owned the car previous to me. The oil came from the seals of the turbo and now I need to clean it all out.

What would be the most effective way to clean it out? I don't have access to a parts washer so would brake cleaner and water work or should I take it somewhere?

Brake cleaner and water do not mix.. A few cans of brake clean only should do the trick

Well there has to be a way to flush everything out and I don't think the brake cleaner alone would do this.

Brake Kleen is some nasty stuff.

I'd get a couple gallons of 87 octane, and fill the intercooler with it and let it sit for an hour or two. Then drain it, spray some brake kleen in it, and let it dry out THOUROUGHLY.
