i have been looking into getting one of those barrel coolers but i was wondering how good are they for the street .and where do i get the water pump and the and all teh other stuff i would need for it.

 

The 4" water to airs are good for about 400 hp. The longer they are, the more they cool. PWR is coming out with a kit to include a heat exchanger, fan for the exchanger and an electric water pump for circulation. No idea on pricing or availability although I have seen the kit on display at SEMA.

 

Are those measurements including the end tanks or are they just the core measurements?

Those measurements are just the core sizes. You add on about 3 inches a side for endtanks as you can see in the pictures. The thickness on all those intercoolers is 3 inches.

 

That would have to be a super custom order cause they dont make that thickness. You would be better off having a thicker intercooler a little shorter. Testing has sown that too long of intercoolers hurts the numbers big time.
