my check engine like popped up this evening while i was driving home.

i started up my engine fine, warmed up the car, and drove less than a mile when the light just turns on, no blinking, just stays on. i went home to see nothing but a crispy dip stick (the rubber part at the top is now hard and chipping away)

other than this visual, i see and hear nothing wrong with my car.. help?

 

It wont flash until you short out the ecu. Untill you short it out it wont blink.
