Default CEL on First start up, Hondata with P28

Hello everyone, looking for some help. After about five years of not running the car, I finally did a first start up yesterday, which was successful, with a freshly built bottom end and block guard. I did the initial 20 minute break in. Revving it to 2000/2500 RPMs at five minute intervals. During the initial 20 minute run time, the check engine light was on. The car has a chipped P28 ECU with Honda S300 for tuning purposes. The code was showing P0335, a circuit malfunction with the crankshaft positioning sensor. With that said, the car ran fine, so I attempted to reset the light using the Honda app which syncs to the car’s module and it immediately came back on. My question is, the P28 is an OBD1 computer, so is that code even valid? I also would like to state that I unplugged the crankshaft positioning sensor when I was priming the motor before the initial startup. Any help is appreciated.

You most likely need a new distributor! that sensor is located inside the distributor,
