Default CEL code causes??

My setup is as follows, currently...

K20a3 motor
bored 20 over
Arias pistons 9:1:1
GReddy EP3 Turbo kit w/ E-manage

Now please correct me if i'm wrong but, I've been told that there is always going to be a CEL code when using the E-manage with this turbo kit.

I'm not driving the car cause i'm waiting for the FMIC and it HAS NOT been tuned yet for the compression change. There was a time where the motor was belching black smoke before the motor blew, Could this have damaged my o2 sensors? Or could have something shorted out in my Ecu from bad wiring?

Thanks in advance for any help

Why don't you check the code?

The shop that has my car said there was a code for a bad o2 sensor or something like that.

However i was under the impression that with the e-manage there would always be an o2 code, i was hoping someone could verify that claim so i could figure out if i REALLY have a bad o2 sensor or if my ECU has a short.
