Let's say I run a mid 12 second quarter mile. I have heard sport bikes having times ranging from 10+, but aren't these times achieved by professional drag riders?

If I was messin with the average rider on the street, would I have a chance running even or beating him? Of course this is with a comparable bike...not a Busa or anything.

Am I right?.....or is my boxed up turbo kit in my garage already toying with my mind?

 

Turbo is going to your head. Those bikes won't have nearly as difficult a time laying down good times as you will with a street-driven front drive turbo. They'll eat you for breakfast.

silly millionaire, remember me in the bubble? You cannot beat any bike except a harley. My GSXR 750 does 10.48 at sick MPH, you have no chance to beat a bike until you start making 500+ HP.We saw a couple of street races this year like 1200HP corvette vs an R1, the R1 lost but that is what it takes to beat one.

yes bikes are hard to beat. the power to weight ratios are just way sick.

you can probly beat me when i am riding, cause i crashed when i was 18 and it sucked bad and now i am too afraid to die. at least i got back on a bike. i love it.

 

I don't know if anybody else here has seen it, but I got some video's (I think they're from MKIV, not sure) of the "Walser" Supra. I have no idea who or what Walser is so don't ask. Anyways I have a few video's of his sick Supra racing a couple bikes on the freeway, namley a pair of Busa's. Oh yea.. he won! You guys might know who i'm talking about, his friend Clint has the Lex SC300 TT. I've got vid's of that SC tearing Vipers, RX7's, Stangs, all kinds of cars. Amazing what those damn Supra motors can do!

 

yep, walser is the guys name, he has HKS twins and nitrous, his car is fast as hell.. All those guys are from austin and houston.. There is a link somewhere to all his videos, if someone knows where it is please post it i accidently deleted em off my computer.

this is true to some extent. I've been in a turbo Honda that beat a motorcycle on the street. First of all it was only a CBR 600 which is one of the weakest sport bikes, second of all the guy was a total rookie rider. Also, we were on Drag radials. And this was only in a low-mid 12 second car. Then we proceeded to make fun of him at the next light, haha.

 

Thanks guys, I'd lost these links... Darren's MKIV is damn fast... It was the guy I do car work with on the modded 900RR... He's since sold it. It only made 134ish whp and had been lightened to the tune of under 400lbs if I remember right...
