Car won't start after boost????
I have recently been having problems with starting my car after driving under boost (7 psi). I just installed a Drag Gen III about a month ago. About one week ago the car would not start after about 10min of driving and only boosting three times.
It turned out to be a bad coil, and once replaced, everything was working fine...until yesterday. The car would not start again after about the same amount of driving but it finally did kick in. I had to keep reveing the engine for a few minutes to keep it from stalling.
Any ideas as to what's going on. The entire ignition system is stock. I have ordered an upgrade (MSD SCI, Blaster SS Coil, etc) but that won't come for about another week.
Do you think by moving the coil to an external location (outside the cap), it will prevent this problem (mechanic said that the coil was probably overheating)?
Thanks,
Brandon

My car does the same thing... Haven't been able to figure it out. We tried tuning it out on the dyno, but it's almost like the car has to cool down, it jsut gets WAY rich after a hard pull.
Well I just got the MSD SCI ignition, cap, and external coil today. Once I get it installed, i'll let you know if it fixes the problem.

my car runs great at first with stock fuel pump and injectors even at full boost. But it seems like i don't have enough fuel so i place in the new walbro 255 lph fuel pump and after little boost my car starts to stall and my guage shows WAY rich on fuel too. So i'm assuming we are getting too much fuel. I was thinking i need better sparks too such as msd. but let me put back my stock injectors for now and i'll tell u all how it comes out with stock injectors and fuel pump again.
Thanks, I do have the Missing-Link installed. I installed the MSD SCI controller and the Blaster SS coil but I'm still having the same problem. Must not be an ignition thing. I have no idea.
BTW, A/F meter usually reads a bit rich (by one or two green bars).
?????
Thanks,
Brandon

make sure you didnt blow your headgasket.usually, its the first to go in my experiance with boost.if you get a coolant leak into the cylinders you will get those exact symptons.hard to start and wanting to die on you at red lights.replace gasket and get some arp head studs.
