car tuned on cracked manifold
I had my car tuned, after the tune i noticed the manifold has a hair line crack on it and exhaust is coming out the crack. When i was tuning the car i noticed the boost would spike the 15 psi and work its way down to 13 psi, so i fixed that with ectune. now i welded it back up car would boost to 18psi. i turned the boost down to 15 where it was tuned on. you think i need to go back to the dyno. Also how much of a impact will this have on my dyno numbers, i was already very happy with the dyno numbers.
it may affect ur midrange because if the leak was affectin turbo spool then u will b gettin a different amount of airflow. it may not affect it at full boost. if u hav an a/f gauge id watch it carefully
I have always tuned my car myself.i took some logs from ectune, put them in excel and charted the pulls, car spool 800to 1000 rpm sooner. i adjusted the afr to compensate. the butt says it has helped my car alot.
oh the trusty ol butt dyno. nd when u said "had my car tuned" i figured by someone other than urself. if u adjusted ur a/f to compensate for ur earlier spool u should b fine in that area. dyno it again to c if ur ignition timing needs to b adjusted in ur midrange. u should b fine while under full boost but anythin other than wot nd 15psi could b affected because ur powerband is now sooner in the curve. a/f is half the battle. an egt gauge would help a lot wit gettin it perfect
