Default cam gears question?

Hey guys quick question. So i purchased a set of S2 Tuner 1 cams for my GSR turbo build. I know these cams are a bit more aggressive than ctr/itr cams which basically makes them a drop in cam and no degreeing is required. With that being said, is there any advantage of buying adjustable cam gears?? Will I just be wasting money?? Also they are going in a fully built gsr head, with 6262 turbo, ramhorn manifold etc... If anyone has had a similar build let me know and what yall did. thanks

Default Re: cam gears question?

some are gonna say its a waste of money, some wont. 1. you can accurately adjust the cams. 2. most aftermarket cams weigh less than the stock ones. even though it may not be a lot of difference, every little bit helps. 3. aesthetic appeal, lets face it adjustable cam gears do look sexier than stock.

my .02 get them. oh and by the way any serious build you should degree the cams even if they are ctr/itr, or stock cams. not every cam is the same due to previous wear, or slight differences when they are made.
