Calling all MOTOR BUILDERS......
I ran into a problem (with the oil pump)and need some advice.
While trying to install a type r oil pump onto a B18A block I ran into a problem. One of the dowells (just one of them) won't fit into the receiver on the block. It seems the dowell is to big (either that or the receiver is to small). Regardless it doesn't fit.
Any suggestions????? Obviously the purpose of the dowell is to line up the oil pump. Should I drill out the receiver to fit, not use the dowell, or find a different dowell. I don't really think finding another dowell is an option.
One fits perfect...the other is a no go.
