braided hose ends

probably a stupid question but am I correct in thinking any-6an hose end is fine for -6an hose?
Or do you have to have say Russel fittings with Russell hose etc.?

They all should work together but some will be much easier to install.

I wouldn't mix and match hose ends just bc the AN # is the OD but who knows if the IDs are the same between manufacturers.
