BOV Question: I DID SEARCH
Hey everyone, i searched "adjusting bov" and read through all 13 results (archived and all
) and no one had the same issue, so.....
i have a greddy type-s bov and when i was adjusting it (maybe too much) the threaded stud along with the locking nut came off. now i can screw the stud in partially but it does not allow much, if ANY adjustability. it also seems as if it is just barely in there (like one or 2 threads)
Any ideas?

did you strip the hole out?? the locking nut really isnt necessary, but if it is stripped drill it out and tap it for a larger bolt
edit: and yes get pictures those are always good

ill get some pics up tomorrow - im worried that it will not hold boost (12psi) when i get my set up back to 100%.
id rather not drill and tap - lol - ill prob just buy another one if thats the case

i would try and take it apart, see how the valve looks on the underside. im not really that familiar with the type S but i have the type RS and its similar, then again i have never taken it apart just watch out for the spring in there so the top doesn't shoot off and poke out an eye

I just repaired a guy's Greddy-S, he had the same problem.
I just drilled and tapped the hole for an 8mm bolt (go as fine as you can..more threads = more strength)
A common mistake that people make is that they don't loosen the locknut before adjusting, so the threads pull out.
It's not as pretty as it is functional
