Bottom end options for d15b jdm vtec >
i saw that srp makes d15 pistons, thoose should fit in my d15b right, also what about rods.. nobody at all makes d15 rods.. If anyone knows of anything, please let me know.
I believe what you'll need to do is have custom rods made.
most of the big names can do this I THINK.
basically the d15b rods are kinda wierd.
they're as long as 1.6 rods, but the big end has an opening the size of
a 1.5.. and they use different sized bearings..
not 100% on the bearings.
it's all really quite confusing..
best thing to do is just send in your rod, they send you it back along with a forged version
(and a fat bill, haha)

right,
I don't want to burst your bubble here, but i've been in the market for FI D15B part's for a while now and the only solution affordable is the LS rod's on d15 Forged pistons.
the D15B rod's are smaller than the B18 one but share the same lenght, you'll have to get both end machined to fit one side the D crank and other side the D15 pistons.
Want to go cheaper than this: get a Z6 base and go with large scale production part's, anyway the crank bearing on the D15b are smaller and tend to be more weak than the Z6 one.
it shure is a great engine, but for building with forged internal there is not any great solution other than having custom rod's made wich run you hell of a lot $$ more than building a Stock z6 base with common FI part's !
Sorry man!
hope this help
kranked.

any dseries vtec cam will fit,
some will need timing adjustment due to the different deck heights..
aside from the bottem end internals issue,
really everything else is covered thoroughly if you search.
