Default BOOST question

I.m trying to build a race motor for street use but
don''t know whether to usea lsvtech or gsr or type r motor I have an
idea
of what type of pistons to use but I''m stuck on what type of motor
will
be best for 25 to 30 ilbs of boost any ideas

lsv you can get pretty decently, short block and a head.

buying a gsr outright may be a little costly,
doin a type r for a race engine i.m.o. is a waste.

you are changing everything in the engine the r was built with except the crank.

boost isnt the issue. it is your hp level.
i made 710whp 83mm gsr with a stock crank.

either the lsv or even a ls crank in a gsr block, but i think the type r is a great engine, but a waste if you are going to swap everything out.

QFT...your best bet would be to get either a B18a/b block and an LS/VTEC conversion OR buy a GSR block so you dont have to deal with the LS/VTEC garbage. I'll agree with the above quote, dont kill an ITR engine just for the bare block
