Default Blown fuse??

Well this is the second time this as happened in a race. I was racing a ws6 trans am when all of the sudden my speedo goes crazy (for split second), then stops working. I notice this affects the light on the car, because my engine light is on due to a bad o2 sensor. I checked the fuse for the speed sensor/alternator and it was blown. I replaced it, now everything works like normal. Does anybody have a clue about this?? Anyways the trans am got spanked in 3rd and 4th with him getting the jump.

Thanks

only thing I can think of is that your massive amount of hp overloaded the fuse j/k, I've never heard of this happening before. I'd check your engine grounds, as well as the connection at the speedo plug. Inspect the plug for corrosion, as it's located right where coolant would leak all over it when bleeding the system. HTH

Same thing happened to me fuse blew out, speedo stopped working, and check engine light came on. Turned out my O2 wires had gotten all tangled up and were touching each other, shorting out the fuse.
