Bad Misfire when accelerating hard
98 civic
94 jdm b18c
jrsc stock boost
lightwieght flywheel
2.5 inch exhaust
itr header
255 walbro
b&m fpr/guage
1000 miles on fuel filter
bkr 7es11- 1 step colder plugs
Problem:
Car misfires or bogs terribly under heavy acceleration.
Idle is loping all of the sudden.
Also at idle I can hear a slight misfire or "ticking noise" every few seconds.
If you have the car in idle and you gas it up to say 5000 rpm and as the rpms are dropping gas it again and it will bog or misfire.
Also their are some rattling ticking noises coming from the idle pulley area I believe. The wierd thing is.....when I press the clutch in ever so slightly the ticking becomes much much louder.
I finally got the car on the road and running pretty good.
I've put about a 1000 miles on the jrsc install and put it through its paces. Not really any serious problems.
It rains and gets in the low 30's for a few days so I don't drive the car for those nasty days(It sat outside in it) After the storm I got to drive it and it bogs very badly as soon as I mash the gas. If I am easy on it it revs pretty good, as soon as I step on it my wideband goes lean it it falls flat on its face. I pull the plugs and they are black, figures. I figured I just fouled out the plugs so I put new ones in along with dist. cap and rotor.
That didn't fix it. Since the wideband goes lean I figured the junk b&m took a crap on me, but the guage reads just like before even when I rev it up.
I was reading another post where the user burned up his rings on one cylinder with a jrsc "stock" setup.
I figured I was pretty safe with stock boost.
My wideband read 14.70-15.20 or so just cruising easy at any speed.
As soon as I floored it it would drop to about 11.5-12.5.
Partial throttle up a hill was my only problem, where the wideband would read anywheres from 16.5-17 at part throttle under load. When this would happen I would either let off the the gas or mash it. Even running at 16.5 up the hill it ran fine. I tried not to do it as much as possible though.
What do you think is wrong?
I also have replaced the coil within the last year or so.
Plugs are gapped at .30 and are brand new.
Let me know guys,

Could be 100 diff things but i found out that my rough idle and higher boost breakup was due to my shitty plug wires. Everyone else will suggest checkin your grounds, ignitor, coil, and connections. Best of luck
