Default B20B/Z vs B18B

Ive been tossing around the idea of using a B20B for the next engine in my car with my JRSC kit, but I have a few questions about the compatibility of the engine swapping it into my teg.

1) would it be cheaper to just sleeve the B20B for boost and keep the same pistons/rods/crank or would it be cheaper to sleeve the b18b for 84mm with new overbore pistons + rebalancing.

2) will the b20b bolt up to my SP7A transmission?

3) will the b20b use the same wiring harness as the obd1 b18b (P75 ecu)

4) i noticed that the rev limit of the b20b is signifigantly lower then the b18, why is this? they use the same stroke, but the b20 makes a whole lot more torque? will the b20b handle a 7000rpm redline?

1. If your gonna sleeve the b20, you better be getting aftermarket pistons and rods, keeping the stock stuff would be just be a dumb idea and a waste. Either one will cost the same price to build.

2. Not sure what trans that is by the code, but any b series will bolt up to it, cable or hydro

3. Use the wiring harness thats for the chassis, its easier.

4. The 7k rev limiter won't matter if your building either block and sleeving it
