no ****.
sell the b20 for an ls and boost that. if it's your dd, it's kinda stupid to do a proven unreliable setup.

we were just discussing this in another thread. ls short/longblocks can be found for about $2-400 if you look hard enough. ls' are all over the place so they arent hard to find. and there isnt anything wrong with them, especially for the price.

same exact rods as a b20 and i'd be surprised if you couldn't find an ls for the same price as a b20 on ebay

the other reason that i liked B20B was because it is 8.8:1 and the torque and hp are near each other as opposed to the LS

and an ls c/r is like 9.2:1.
If you plan on turboing an engine where the c/r is going to make much of a difference, a stock b20 is not a good choice.
Once boosted, a stock ls vs a stock b20 will have damn near the same numbers. And with the ls, you can safely turn the boost up more and make up for the small difference very easily.

thats a smallk turbo, but you should have no problems with 240whp and 210wtq depending on tuning.

Back from the dead

So I got a 1999 crv and want more power for when I am on the mountain passes so I am wanting to achieve about 220 wheel torque at approx about 3500 rpms also basically what turbo would be good to achieve this it is my dd

Also can a b20 handle these figures and still be dd

Will it be a fun a street car? Hell yes, lots of low/midrange... but absolutely no top end.

Will you be shattering horsepower goals and flying by everything on the road ? No, a stock evo could roll right by you

Use a 50 or 57 trim and call it a da. this is the most responsive turbo for most all Bseries in stock trim.
Its been proven over and over.

The t28 is a tiny thing and yes, 14lbs is fine. My T3 super 60 made 256/243 on my B20 with a set of cams at 14lbs. It ran out of breath after that.
