You will not get anywhere close to that especially with an FI motor if you're sticking to the stock crank. Earl posted up pics of an 86mm B16A FI block awhile back and that's the biggest I've ever seen. Trust me, there is no reason to go that big with an FI motor. Our B series FI motors never go above 84.50mm which with a B18C crank sets us right under 2.0L. Even if you had your motor was sleeved to 86mm you'd still only be at ~2.07L. If you're really looking for that displacement tho I hate the H series motors maybe that's what you should look into. Just my $0.02.

a performance shop nearby just did a b20b bored to a 2.3, and they said you could go to a 2.4 but with little room for error. but i am for sure going with atleast a 2.2, but i have heard of alot of 2.2s, but not as many 2.3s. just wanted to have others opinions before i did anything.

Not possible un less you stroke the B20 to get it to 2.3 or 2.4. Sorry there buddy, that shop is full of **** unless its stroked.

Listen to what the man above said. The larger you bore the less material between cylinders. If you leave the motor stock bore its stronger and you can run more boost and make more power that way.

it was stroked also, but i know one thing for sure and that it was a 2.3 b20, and it was made to handle up to 55lbs of boost. if thats not enough boost and strong enough, then i don't know what is.

That's nice, 55lbs. eh? Is this a race motor? Should be good for ~1200whp Deckplated? We would also need that stroke in order to calc. the bore.

i think you should just get a b16 and bore it to like 110mm and make it run like 75 psi using a terminator t1000 turbo. i bet that shop would hook you up.

i think with the b20 the biggest you can bore it to is like, 2.26 and run it safley... the bore and stroke is, 87 mm for the bore and 95 mm for the stroke. crower makes a kit for this and yea tahts a big motor for a honda.

We've had this debate a 1000 times, I just don't like it's overall design or how it looks and sits in an engine bay. B series

I don't doubt the displacement of the motor if it's got an aftermarket crank but like I said before, we do need that to determine the bore you would need to do the same. It has a deckplate, correct? Find some specs on the motor if you can, pics would also be nice. I just don't see why you're looking for this displacement when you can make 600whp+ with ~2.0L street motor that already will give you traction problems up the ***.

Even with an aftermarket 95mm stroker crank you can't get to 2.3 with a B series motor. With an 86mm bore thats 2.21 liters. Unless your cylinders look like an audi symbol...

You would need a kustom 104mm stroke crank to get to 2.4 Liters with an 86mm bore... and what would be the point? Like the guy said people make over 600 horsees on less than 2 Liters.

Ask this shop 'guy' where he got his crank. I'm curious.

It does sound rather hard to believe.

are you guys arguing the fact that this can't be done w/o being sleeved?
