Yea clevites aren't what they used to be. ACL is the most common bearing choice given how affordable they are but you're basically stuck with whatever clearances you come up with. You can move bearings around to see if anything changes but for the most part they all yield the same clearance range
Oem bearings give you almost total control over clearances but are very costly and sometimes there's a long wait through dealers.

Holy crap how many b18b build threads are going to be started. I feel like three times a week a new one pops up. The LST forum has every answer you could possibly imagine and after reading through if you still have questions post in there and people will help.
Toooooo much tools to list, get yourself a Haynes manual (VERY IMPORTANT) and it'll tell u what u need and what to do and what to measure properly.
Also acl bearings are best to use OR OEM bearings, you can't beat oem bearings. Other bearings sux *****.

Just download the oem service manuals. They are on torrent sites everywhere in pdf form and are complete from cover to cover.
