Are there any 90s-2000s turbos that you guys have seen or done with auto transmissions that could be trusted to daily? (preferably without putting thousands into the transmission) all replies are appreciated. thanks !

I recently turbo'd my high mileage 95 automatic F22 Accord. It is a completely stock engine and transmission. The autos in the Accords are quite a bit stronger than the Civics of the era so YMMV if you're mainly asking about those. I am making about 250whp/tq on 9-10psi out of a china T3/T4. It doesn't slip at all and chirps the tires on the 1-2 shift. Makes around 5-6psi of boost by 2300-2400rpm. It completely transformed how the car feels and drives everyday. So much more torque. Keeping up with traffic is effortless. Runs and drives like stock otherwise. Wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere or take it on a trip.

If you're wanting to make big power, it's probably not going to happen. I feel like I'm probably pushing the limits of this automatic as it is.

Funny enough, mine has almost the exact same stats. 105k miles on the dash but it's a 94. I'm not looking to make a ton of power, just to add more life to the car. Did you buy a whole kit or do some fabrication?

I fabricated/tuned/etc the entire setup myself.

Agree w/ Aradin. If you keep the boost levels down (under 12psi), it should be fine.....with a good tune. Just do the important things first, like compression test the motor to see if it's worth doing so.
