attn rocket: dislike of clutchnet?
I'm not trying to start a flame war, just wondering why you don't like clutchnet. I've seen in a few posts that you think they are garbage ("Your wheelies is gaaaaarbage!") and I'm wondering why. I know that my dislike of clutchmasters comes from personal experience, and too many people have shattered the ACT pressure plate to make that an option for me. I guess there are high dollar clutches out there, but that isn't really an option for me. Anyway, just wondering, was it a bad experience or something?
Call Clutchnet and ask them what brand pressure plate they use for as a base for there pressure plates. Then ask them if this brand is made in Korea.
I have a busted Valeo/PHC pressure plate in my garage. Strength and quality is very minimal with the Valeo/PHC units.
Ask Earl how his Clutchnet clutch worked. Ask Ltech what he thinks of Valeo clutches.
I have stopped saying bad stuff about Clutchnet because I don't want to be negative. I just want people to avoid problems.
Clutchnet discs are superb however. Just the friction pads are not good.
I actually appreciate that someone is addressed this to me. Thanks!

I didn't know what kind of material they made in clutchnet. But after Rocket told me I don't think I will use it. If you don't trust him then try it out and see for yourself. Have a good day.

I was thinking about buying either a Clutch Net Stage 2 or a CM Stage 3, but after PM Rocket a bit he convinced me that a better idea would be to go with an Action Clutch. I think I will try the High HP Racer, it has a HD pressure plate with a 6 or 4 puck unsprung hub. I will go with the 6 puck disk, when I scrape the dough together after this headgasket situation I am in right now. Ugh!
I have a clutchnet 6 puc with the extreme pp. I've put 6k gentle miles and no probs yet. However my throwout bearing is now squealing. It stops when I press the pedal in some.

Okay, I'll bring my digital camera to my friends clutch shop and we'll go thru a bunch of things. We have quite a few of our competitors clutches so you guys can see the "insides" of the clutches.
How about the Tilton carbon/carbon clutch or the Metallic clutch? These really good clutches I hear. I'm thinking about the Carbon/Carbon for my race car though.

b18turbo says that tilton carbon's are $3200 with flywheel. I am sure that's a killer clutch but that's not affordable. We've got something that will hold the same amount of power.
Looking forward to the review. On an off topic note, does anybody else recognize "your wheelies is gaaaaaarbage!" or am I on my own here? Any riders that watch videos?

If Valeo's modified pressure plates are so-so, what plate would you recommend? Maybe I'll reuse my ACT Extreme PP with my Clutchnet disc...
