ARP Rod Bolt Question?
I bought a set of arp rod bolts for my b16 crower h-beam rods not knowing they need to be pressed in by a machine shop. Im looking for a bolt that can simple screw right into the rod like the stock bolts. Does anybody know if arp makes a bolt style rod bolt instead of the stud and nut that i have? Im on a budget so im looking for a cheap and easy solution. If it comes down to it i will just get the machine work done but i would like to avoid it if possible. Any info would help.

Most aftermarket rods uses basic screw type, main differences in diameter ,UHL (=under head lenght) and hardness, and ARP usually had made of them.
Bolt type changing is possible in theory but highly uneconomical because machining cost.
What's wrong with the Crower bolts ? Based on what you have described, you bought a set of factory rod replacement bolts and NOT a set of aftermarket rod replacement bolts. If you have a set of Crower "Fast Times" rods, you likely have a set of 5/16" x 1.50" length rod bolts with a 3/8" 12-pt head. In that case, the ARP2000 replacement bolt set part number is: 200-6210.
